Dear All,

First of all, I thank you very much for checking out my site. Secondly, I have been getting many inquires about getting eggless ladyfingers for making tiramisu. While I could not find them anywhere but one of my local shops that is vegan, I have decided to change the title of my recipe from Tiramisu eggless way to Easy Tiramisu. If you not find eggless ladyfinger anywhere in your neighborhood, I am sorry to hear that.

Hi there,
Unfortunately there's no such thing as eggless Ladyfingers - and if so, I'd like to see it. They're known as Sponge fingers when used in trifles in England, one of the reasons why I can't eat Tiramisu or Trifle. The only 'egg' thing in Tiramisu are the 'fingers', so was disappointed to find this recipe. Have a look at: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lady_Finger_(cookie)
Please advise if you have found 'eggless' Ladyfingers.
Cheers,
xC

Bin,

I used a 5" springform pan which serves tiramisu for 2 - 4 people depending on the amount of dessert one wants. I added about 2 tbsp, mixed it with cream and tasted. Then I added a little more until I found right amount of sweetness that I felt was good.

I hope this helps.

Bin,

I used a springform pan. I forgot what size was it. Because based on that is my size of tiramisu and it's ingredients. I will get back to you end of today.

Thanks.

My husband's favorite desert! I plan to make it for his birthday!
Approximately how much sugar if you don't like things too sweet. I only want to put as much as necessary.
Thanks.

Priya, Tiramisu used to one of my favorite desserts. Your version looks gorgeous. And I totally agree with you about recipes that have too many steps- I tend to stay away from those too.
Thanks for passing along my kuzhambu recipe to your sister, and for your lovely comment. I was thrilled to hear her family liked it.

I too prefer savory to sweet, but I must admit that I would probably make my own lady fingers for this fine recipe. I find it very therapeutic to make everything from scratch when I have an afternoon of nothing pressing to address. Rare those afternoons are, but pure bliss all the same.

Beautiful preparation. Tempting indeed. Thank you!

Hi all,

Thanks to everyone for checking out the recipe and for your sweet comments. Some of you asked where to find ladyfingers. As Resham has commented, you can find them in your regular grocery stores but my local grocery store did not carry it as it as seasonal to them. You can find ladyfingers at the Whole Foods Market (http://www.wholefoodsmarket.com/). I checked out Trader Joe’s too and they seem to carry it only during christmas time. But if your neighborhood has any stores such as Whole Foods, Bread & Circus, Wild Oats market which are mainly organic stores, they seem to have a better chance to carry them.
